MAPS
By using graphic maps and charts, I’m working to expose the visual ways that gender theories surrounding the construction of the gendered subject are related and situational to the narrative of a lived-body experience. By mapping the geographies of clothing, the self, getting dressed, and being dressed, I’m negotiating the continuously shifting boundaries and space between the subject-in-process and the social expectations outlining gender and cultural identities.
