WOMEN'S INITIATIVE
[Advocacy Work | Creative Roadmap for Change | The Women’s Initiative at PublicisNA]

Sometimes the biggest changes start with the most insignificant moments. In this instance, 9 months after a “waiting-in-line-for-the ladies-room” conversation while at the 3% conference and a deep data dive, 4 women: Jana Jarosz, LaRonda Davis, Jamie Silverman, and Lindsay Cliett, presented a comprehensive list of initiatives arguing for greater diversity and inclusion at Publicis’ first all-female town hall.

C-suite support and collaboration led to open dialogue about the ways in which greater diversity across all departments can lead to better creativity which in turn engendered firm commitments to actual change from the top down. Continued support from the CCO and HR led to additional surveys, roundtable discussions, development work for unconscious bias training program, career mapping, mentorship programs, open briefs for International Women’s Day, a Paley Center Women in Media Event, and coverage in Adweek. It’s an ongoing project to drive change with every brief, every casting, every production choice, and supported by women advancing an open agenda in the creative department.
